Kampala
At first glance, Kampala looks like any other East African city, with concentrated high-rise complexes and nature nipping at its heels. It’s certainly no less chaotic, as the streets are practically overrun by boda-bodas, motorcycle taxis with no qualms about reckless driving. But life here feels less harried, the people friendlier, and the stays more affordable. Between those and Kampala’s historical sites, there are plenty enough reasons to visit it.
